The Web Services Office is responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and operations of ÃÛÑ¿app’s website and web-based information delivery systems. This includes ensuring the website remains functional, accessible, and aligned with College standards.
While the ultimate responsibility for ÃÛÑ¿app's website and online presence rests with ÃÛÑ¿app's Webmaster, many day-to-day content updates for administrative pages are managed by approved web content contributors within each department. If a department does not have a designated web content contributor, Web Services will provide content updates as needed.
Web Services is also responsible for:
- Technical management of the College’s CMS and website administration.
- Providing CMS training and ensuring compliance with established web standards.
- Ensuring accessibility, usability, and branding are maintained across all ÃÛÑ¿app web pages.
- Reviewing and approving content before it is published to ensure compliance with writing standards.
Departmental Web Content Responsibilities
Each department, division, program, or club with a web presence is expected to designate a web content contributor to manage and oversee its website. This individual is responsible for:
- Adding, editing, and reviewing department-specific content.
- Ensuring content remains current, relevant, and accurate.
- Adhering to ÃÛÑ¿app’s writing standards and styles, copyright policies, and accessibility standards.
- Managing PDF forms, department FAQs, and other essential documents.
- Following best practices for visual content and user-friendly navigation.
