Alumni of the Year serve as ambassadors of ÃÛÑ¿app to their communities, and represent how far a ÃÛÑ¿app education can propel a student into their future.

Every spring, ÃÛÑ¿app collects nominations for the title of Alumna/us of the Year, which is selected by a committee of faculty, staff and community members. At Commencement each year, the Association bestows this honor to an individual who demonstrates excellent service to ÃÛÑ¿app and to the Reno/Sparks community.

Purpose

1. Honor an outstanding ÃÛÑ¿app alumnus/alumna.
2. Increase recognition of the quality of a ÃÛÑ¿app education.
3. Promote ÃÛÑ¿app within the community and throughout Nevada.

Guidelines

1. Awardee shall be a ÃÛÑ¿app graduate, degree holder, or program completer or Awardee shall have begun his/her advanced degree at ÃÛÑ¿app.
2. Awardee shall show evidence of community service.
3. Awardee shall not be an employee of Truckee Meadows Community College.
4. Alumni of the Year Nominations are due by March 21, 2025.

Note: Exceptions to these guidelines are permissible at the discretion of Truckee Meadows Community College.
