
Washoe County School District students visit ѿapp to find out more about college, and the programs and resources that are available.
Truckee Meadows Community College (ѿapp) will offer two Senior Night events for high school seniors from Washoe County School District to learn more about ѿapp’s 2015-16 programs and services. Sponsored by ѿapp’s Access, Outreach and Recruitment Office, the events are free and open to the public.
"ѿapp offers a variety of high quality, diverse educational pathways for high school seniors to pursue upon graduation from high school,” said Patty Porter, Program Director for ѿapp’s Access, Outreach and Recruitment. “Whether their goal is to obtain a bachelor's degree, associate degree, certificate or skills certificate; these two events will assist the senior class of 2015 in choosing the pathway that best fits them."

Information and Resources Are Offered
At the Career & Technical Education Open House, students and families will get first-hand knowledge about career and technical career opportunities, such as automotive, diesel, welding, machining, production systems, unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and more.
Seniors seeking more general information about ѿapp’s academic programs and degrees, student services, and resources will prefer the Senior Night event on Feb. 25. Students interested in transferring to a university, earning a two-year degree or one-year certificate, will benefit from attending this brief presentation.
